Learn about our church heritage and mission
We are a vibrant branch of the Reformed Church International South Africa (RCISA), proudly part of the Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) family. Our church is built on a rich heritage of faith, dating back to the founding of RCZ on September 9, 1891, at Morgenster Mission in Masvingo province, Zimbabwe.
The Reformed Church in Zimbabwe was established by missionaries who brought the Gospel to Southern Africa. For over 130 years, the RCZ has been a beacon of hope, spreading the message of Christ throughout Zimbabwe and beyond. As RCISA Johannesburg North, we carry forward this legacy in South Africa, serving our community with the same dedication and faith.
Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ, nurturing believers in their faith, and serving our community with love and compassion. We strive to be a church where everyone feels welcome, where the Word of God is faithfully preached, and where lives are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We envision a thriving community of believers who are deeply rooted in Scripture, actively engaged in worship, and passionately committed to sharing the Gospel. We aim to be a light in Johannesburg North, demonstrating God's love through our words and actions.
"Kuda Kwenyu Ngakuitwe" - Thy Will Be Done
This motto guides everything we do. We seek to align our lives and ministry with God's perfect will, trusting in His sovereignty and grace.
